Fraud Allegations in Partnerships

Do you really know your Partner?

When business partners have a material dispute and litigation is inevitable,   it is important to separate emotion from the facts.  Emails, texts, and other electronically stored information hold the key to “proving” the allegation.

Claims that one partner has been illegally wiretapping or has put complex spyware on another partner’s laptop, desktop or smart phone need to be examined.  Internet based slander posted on websites, blogs, and dispute sites also are common outcomes of such disputes.  Is one partner left and attempting to form a competing business utilizing information or client lists obtained in an improper fashion.  Documenting these actions is key.

Gathering the proper evidence through digital forensics examination or through more traditional investigations (surveillance, GPS tracking, undercover work) will ensure that evidence is gathered to support the allegations.
